Potential Aurora watch?

Decent enough tonight, though almost 0 visibility with eyes besides very very faint red at some points.

Could do with nicking my dads bike one day, pier is nice enough but loch Ryan isn't the darkest sky by any means...

not sure if a G3 will get anything down to us in the midlands, maybe if the storms combine we stand a chance. will have a look tonite just in case.
we need a big X class with earth directed storm please. G4 would be nice. looking quiet so far.

Yeah It seems to be quiet, not spotted anything from my door yet, there's a CME predicted at about 6 for us (better for the americans)

Shetland is getting a half decent show at least just cropped up (again) in the last 15 minutes, there was an initial burst when the CME hut a few hours ago.

usually on the better shows If there's brighter displays in shetland most of scotland can see it I've found, if there's nothing too be seen on shetland cams I dont bother usually, besides a quick photo from my bedroom to "verify" there's nothing out there.

Actually managed to see them with the naked eye last night outside the back door, even more impressive on phone, only taken 5 years. Hopefully see some orcas this year

the sun has let go a possible X flare in the last couple of hours.
its almost almost centre mass and in line with earth, and hopefully in a couple of days it will hit with
the correct polarity to give us a chance of aurora down to the midlands. we will have to wait and see.
