One piece quick release mount advice,

Right chaps, im getting a bit of brain freeze on how best to do this,

so at the moment i have a 22lr and a 17 hmr that share a arken zulas, when i change this over it retains its zero well,
there used for rabbits in the day and night time,

i also have a 223 with a Vortex PST gen 2 on it, thats used for fox, longer range rabbits and gong bashing,

i pick up my new 234 in a couple of days which as of yet has no scope,

so is what i would like to do is sell the zulas and get a Alpex 4k,
and use that on all 4 rifles from time to time, and also the Vortex on the 2 centre fires when needs be,

a good mate has said the way forward is a quick release one piece mount,

am i pushing my luck doing all this changing about or could it work, its easy enough for me to check zero as i have to local farms i shoot on half a mile away in either direction.
obviously i know i will have to re zero the Vortex every time but im hoping the alpex with its pre set zeros for each rifles will be ok,

so if this is all doable then can anyone recommend a decent set of mounts, they dont have to be the best, just decent, and.

many thanks.

Lee

A cheaper option would be too get a torque wrench. It's more of a pain but will be just as consistent. It's how I go about it although QR mounts would be nice.

Rusan QD mounts are meant to be decent for the £. I know folks on here use them and say they are good, though have no actual experience myself.

As you know I use Innomounts on my Alpex. Very expensive though.

Other mounts I've used in the past that were good for return to zero are the American Defence 1 piece mounts. Again though expensive.

just looked at the innomounts, feck me £330, thats never going to happen, ( i would insert a laughing emoji here but mine are not working at the moment for some reason).

and yes id defo want one for the vortex too

Rips 260 Mark Ripley rates & uses the sports match QR mounts seem to work for him. Think they are £200 ish
i have a hard time believing anything these people say is good, its all sponsorship and what they get free in my book, call me a cynic, but its how i see it all,
i used to quite like watching andy crow shooting videos, now it just a tiresome embarrassing advert for jack pyke and anything else he can get his grubby little mits on

Like watching his stuff, get what your saying but don't think the guy would use the stuff if it wasn't fit for purpose even if he was getting it for free.

He did a video specifically on the return to zero on the sportsmatch mounts at 300 or 500m can't remember which, seemed to work spot on! Have met Mark twice and as much as he gets given kit to use for free he's a genuine guy

iv nothing against the bloke and i do like him, and i get its just how it is nowadays, but i prefer to hear from people who just tell it how it is because they can, not someone why maybe steered into it,
not saying thats the case but...... ill have a look at his vid, see what hes selling this week:lol: good old crow man

On basis of rips / marks video I bought the sports match one piece saddle mount which is QR ....it's on my hornet then swap it for my HIK TQ50 on its own QR mount .

Sportsmatch qr one piece mount was around £170 if I remember
