I have a Vostok 12g semi auto and externally it looks identical to that baikal.
Is that one recoil operated?
Mine I recoil with the barrel forcing the bolt back upon firing.
It’s a bit rough but you can throw it in a ditch and not clean it for 20 years and it still works!

Gas operated recoil on this one. It's no purdey but it will get the job done and you won't cry if you do drop it!
