Sexy beast….though I’ve yet to find a straight pull that doesn’t feel awkward to my large frame… if passing I’ll take a look. I guess the lack of availability of a used max in .308 is testament to how people keep hold of them!

Give Mark at Vale Field and Game a call. he stocks plenty of Mauser. The M12 is a cracking setup.

Took a look at the M25 in the flesh last week. Overall a smart outfit. The action is sickeningly slick & smooth

However, for my frame the stock is too short and theres no getting away from that feeling the bolt is going to hit you in the face. Mauser sell spacers but I feel they should be included really.

The adjustable comb is plastic & feels a bit naff

The 2x position safety is both ugly & awkward

(the synthetic stock variant feels awfull…very plastic feel compared to its stablemate the M12 or Sauer 100/101)

Think Ill hold out for an M12 Max
