A bit of a one off and rare opportunity here, I have 20 of these which were on the go for a single client, they were going to be jointly branded as me the maker and their concern, unfortunately though they have need to renege on our deal, I know why and I am fine with it as I know they will be back, that still leaves me for now though with 20 pieces of ongoing work that have each had time and money invested into them, so I am going to finish them and offer them here, and here only as they are a bit of a deal.
As Tom might say in Lock Stock: 'It's a deal. It's a steal. It's sale of the f*****g century!'.
They are currently in heat treatment stages and are part of my February workload, as a result end of Feb. start of Mar. will see them done and delivered.
They are very much based on my 6" Chef's knife pattern, some of which can be seen in the links below;

The concept behind the project was to make them traditional, but good, simple builds of steel, wood and brass, as they would have been many years ago, but make them to 2025 standard.
To enable this the steel is of course Sheffield-made SF100, HTd Rc58/59, enabling easier sharpening, making them more kitchen user friendly.
Scales of Bubinga, this has been used extensively over the years in Sheffield, is a good, traditional and hard wearing in the kitchen hardwood.
Secure those with brass fixings, traditionally those fixings would have been cutlers rivets, they are a very blunt edge weapon though so the rivets will be swapped out for brass Corby bolts, adhesive would never have been used either, it will in this instance though.
No liners for these, simple and traditional, steel, wood and brass, but put together well.
Here is the kicker, if you followed any of those links above you will have seen that the prices of the knives in those sets start at £250, that is for the smaller 3" or 4" versions, the 6" like these, maybe £75 more.
These 20 knives, in this spec. only, there are no deviations from the SF100, Bubinga and brass plan, are £150 each.
I will need to charge a bit of delivery on that so call it £160 each, for one of these fine, beautiful knives.
This offer is a total one off and will never be repeated!
I will also, for now at least, be leaving this as an SD offer only.
I had 20, a gent of this forum visited the workshop today and put his name down for six, 14 remain.

I will keep the thread updated with progress, I might have one finished this week.
