Remember these..? 6" Kitchen/Cook's/Chef's Knives, SF100 and Bubinga Scales
Over the last few weeks I have been contacted by a couple of the purchasers of those knives to enquire if I was able to make them a matching knife, a smaller, paring version.
The one below has a blade length of 4".

As those photos have revealed, whilst I am making a couple I will make a few, as many as the piece of 2mm SF100 steel I have earmarked for the project will yield, that is 14, there will be 14 knives, all to the same spec. as those earlier knives, a few lines of info copied from that earlier thread for you...
The problem here of course is the price, I cannot match that previous price, they will be discounted though. As that previous thread and my website shows prices for knives like these generally start at £250, I am offering these 14 knives at £180 each, all in and delivered, not bad I don't think when you consider that nearly a tenner of that is to get it to you.
They are in HT as I type and the plan is to hit them hard when they are back, I don't really want them hanging around so I hope to get them out by the end of July.
Cheers all

... The concept behind the project was to make them traditional, but good, simple builds of steel, wood and brass, as they would have been many years ago, but make them to 2025 standard.
To enable this the steel is of course Sheffield-made SF100, HTd Rc58/59, enabling easier sharpening, making them more kitchen user friendly.
Scales of Bubinga, this has been used extensively over the years in Sheffield, is a good, traditional and hard wearing in the kitchen hardwood.
Secure those with brass fixings, traditionally those fixings would have been cutlers rivets, they are a very blunt edge weapon though so the rivets will be swapped out for brass Corby bolts, adhesive would never have been used either, it will in this instance though.
