Well it's all a "wish list" at present. Of what the UK could perhaps impose tariffs on if it wished to. Let us hope not. But of course in overall terms what the UK imports, new, from the USA in firearms is...such as Ruger...less than 1% of its that company's total annual firearms made. I am guessing if there is a response it'll be what causes the most pain in US States with Republican Party Senators? So likely the usual suspects of Kentucky and Tennessee whiskies? Especially as Kentucky elects Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul.

I thought we already had a 100% tariff on US firearms anyway, as they appear to be double the cost here compared with there!!
I looked at a bolt on bolt knob extension for my how’s the other day. In the USA $9 form legacy sports. In the UK £48.99 from Shooting Sports!

Tariffs! LOL! When I had the UK agency for the Dade Speedloader the tariff for "articles of plastic" was, say, 13% or whatever. The tariff for "magazines for small arms" was 6.8%. That at least I do recall. So I had the owner of Dade the very very nice John Fordham to describe them on the manifests as "patented revolver magazines". Which he did. I must have imported these in the hundreds. Especially S & W "K" Frame and then the then new "L" Frame. I have now only one in my house.

This might force British manufacturing to wake up. Ill wind and all that.

Those tariff item numbers were a bundle of joy back in the day, the book was more useful as a step.

Fat chance with Mliband. You can't competitively produce firearms or cartridges with damn near the most expensive energy in the world, usong some of the most expensive labour in one of the most highly regulated markets. The consensus in the UK is that we don't manufacturing under ant circumstances. It's wrong, but get used to it.

Sadly I’d wager that the wider tariff games will probably hurt all of our spending power more than specific tariffs on shooting stuff.

Anyone in the trade have a sense of how much shooting related material is imported from the US? Ammunition aside, in my corner of the sport it is mostly European brands I see for sale/being used. (Tikka/sako/bergara/swarowski/zeiss etc etc etc). Newer rifles and kit from US brands often seems hard to get hold of/thin on the ground anyway? (Vortex optical being a notable exception)
