On a break up north on the NI coast. Today we took our dog for a walk along the River Bush (of Bushmills whiskey fame) - upwards of twenty martins in a feeding frenzy on the fly hatch - fantastic sight!

swallows and martins have been here (dunfermline) for about a week now, saw my 1st cuckoo last night

See a swallow about two weeks back, then nothing. Couple of days ago two showed up and are looking at nesting in the stable once again.

Nothing yet swallow's a few days yet normally, Osprey late by a week or so,cuckoo usually by now but nothing yet.

Farmer said first on arrived 5 weeks ago!
Chiff chaffs and Willow warblers in full song. Helped as I was wearing my hearing aids.!

Pair Swallows in barn mid Derbyshire coming and going while I was ratting yesterday.

Had a cracking week so far
Mistle and song thrush
Jenny wren
Black cap
Dunnock
Coal, blue and longtail tits
And in my brothers garden Nightingale

First time i’ve seen the thrushes in three years and the nightingale 10 years, no sign of a turtle dove yet and no cuckoo yet

Spotted the first three house martins this evening on my dog walk, bit earlier than last year, central Scotland.
