Korthals Griffon Puppies
I have for sale 7 Korthals Griffon pedigree puppies for sale. £1300.
I have both parents which can be seen.
Pups are near Spalding/Bourne in south Lincolnshire.
Dog is an all rounder and great in the field. Mum has been trained as deer dog but still can hold her own in HPR work.
The parents have cracking lines, many FTC in both lines. Dog comes from one of the original KG breeders in the country, Phil Bloss. Bitch is a Water Eatons dog one of the more well known breeders of KG.
Pups are docked and dew clawed. Worming ongoing. Will be chipped and first jab done ready for their new homes.
Pups are not KC registered.
I can take viewings of the pups from 7/6 once they have had their first jabs.
The bitch is the sister of the dog featured in March/April BASC mag.
Griffs are a pleasant trainable loving dog, they will make perfect working dogs as well as a great dog around the home.
I would prefer these to go to working homes, Griffs need a lot of exercise. Long after the labs, spaniels and GWPs have had enough for the day the Griffs will keep on going.
KG pups start off life a completely different colour to what they end up, they are almost white for the first 4-6 moths of their lives and gradually get the beautiful liver and silver tick coat the are known for.

Which water Eaton litter is the bitch from? Mine is a Weymouth streets litter. Totally bonkers but very loyal and loving and wants to work.

She’s a little lakes. They are a very busy dog. Great to have around. Once you have harnessed their enthusiasm they work all day everyday come rain or shine.
I take it your dog has the Water Eatons “hair”…… I have to say I prefer the dogs hair, but it all adds character.

Ah, that’s the litter after ours. Very enthusiastic and very devoted but gets a bit anxious at times as the seatbelts in my shooting truck and attest to!!

Coco looks like a wookie most of the time but has had a tight clip this spring so looks quite normal at the moment

Izzy ate through one of the seat belts in my truck the first time she went in it I don’t think she liked being retrained in a harness. Must be a genetic thing! She travels well now, they all do actually, obviously the GWP wants to drive, but other than that they are good travellers.

I hand strip my KGs in the summer, makes them look the business.

Definitely an WE look about Lindsey’s dogs. My dog is quite different looking, but the bitch, peas in a pod. Did you see the article in last months BASC mag by Gareth? That is Izzy’s sister. Twins.

Yes, no more WE Griffs. Such a shame as she was very good at it.

For anyone looking for a gun dog with a difference, a Korthals Griffon is certainly that and with the bitch being a Water Eaton bred dog, she has come from a long line of working dogs.
A great new addition for any home wanting a new HPR pup!

You are quite right about the line, and the dog, arguably has even better lines, although I don’t think Phil is still breeding. I have the 6 generation KC docs for both, and the list of champs is a long as my arm on both sides. These pups will be absolutely perfect working dogs I have no doubt.

I have had problems getting the prodigy restriction lifted. Very long story…..in short, by the time I had got the breeder to agree, there were so many caveats that it became uneconomical in time and money to put my dogs through all the tests require. It would have added at least £500 per pup to the baseline costs.

Hi Paul, I just thought if important to comment as you’ve mentioned Tess in your post from my article in the BASC magazine. You’re right, Lindsey produced well bred litters from health tested parents. I managed to get the breeding restrictions lifted and all I needed to do was ensure the recommended health tests by the Kennel Club were undertaken. Hip and Elbow scores along with the bred club recommended KBKB locus. I also kept Lindsey appraised of Tess working achievements. Did you do this for your bitch and also the stud dog? If so, lifting the endorsements will be straight forward.
