I burnt the clutch out on my cat skinning them so haven't bothered since....
You have not wiffed a freezer with 50 of them inside. The scent glands in the legs can stink out a freezer, regardless of the temperature setting.
Tried a squirrel barbeque once, only once. Real venison / beef burgers exist for a reason.

The thermal spotter is the absolute game changer though. Pick them out without even seeing them move and then find them in the scope , amazing way of hitting them.

I only froze them after skinning and jointing. Young ones are best .

Me and the dog suffered a horrendous squirrel attack this morning!
Jess got bitten again trying to apprehend one of three amigos raiding the barley shed!
One charged me as I stood my ground in the door way and by not panicking I fired from the hip for a perfect centre mass shot just before it pounced for me!!
I've not shot an attacking squirrel from the hip for year's, I should practice more to ward off these ferocious beasts!!!

Saw 1 in the garden on friday, shot it couple of mins latter, it crawled in to the hedge.

Although I've since found out they have a value at bird of pray centers if they've no lead in them.
Good idea but unfortunately all of mine contain lead.
Impressive numbers you're getting there. Do you trap or shoot?
