Im 46 and find most noise annoying so maybe not an age thing...though some of the "kids" I work with I feel old

Might well be. This is an engineering office, and I just find random whistling to be ajjmdw irritating. Absolutely no need for it, especially when people are trying to concentrate. Or perhaps I've just turned into a grumpy and intolerant old b'stard

I randomly whistle all the time, anyone apart from the long haired general tells me to cann it, I have several choice words I can relay right quick

I reckon if I worked in a office I would be “asked to leave” I think I’m a tad too feral

Draft up and send by mail an official looking invitation to 'Britain's Got Talent', saying that they have heard there is a talented whistler who needs to share his talent with the world!
Hopefully he gets the hint.

I had a neighbour like this. Tuneless whistling from very early morning to mid-evening when he went to bed. I'm sure he didn't know any tunes all the way through. I spoke to him, nicely, about it but nothing changed.
I moved house.
God only knows how his wife put up with it.
