I've put a nice B Rizzini round body in the next Holts sealed bid. I suspect it won't make much so could be a bargain. estimate £800 onwards. Nothing wrong with the gun I just fancied a change.

Wish I'd put the wanted ad up sooner then! There was one in the last Horners Auction but went for eye watering money....I wimped out but it bodes well for yours in the Holts Auction!!
I'd ask the OK this. Why! No to be rude as I've a 16 bore 2 3/4" chamber Browning Auto 5 from the 1960s and back unsold from Southam's my AYA No4 16 bore. Which is why I've replied. The 16 bore Highlander weighs the same, or more as the 12 bore equivalent I seem to recall. Just as my 16 bore AYA No4 weighs more than my lightweight 12 bore AYA No4.
The 16 bore Browning Auto 5 weighs less than its 12 bore direct equivalent. I also looked at the idea of a Highlander as they are handsome guns indeed. Yet in truth the are built on a 12 bore action not a scaled action. To my mind unless you have a gunroom full of 16 bore cartridges a 16 bore gun that weighs MORE than its direct 12 bore equivalent doesn't make sense.
So for O/U messing about I've just bought from Southam's a 1974 Belgian Browning B25 with 27.5" barrels. Weighs 7lb 4 ounces.
