For sale one on my Fortis L knives which is ground from Uddeholm Swedish Elmax powder steel heat treated and nitrogen soaked to HRC 62.
The spine is 3.2mm and has a fully tapered tang to 1mm .Blade length is 252mm total with a cutting edge of around 130mm, ground to a full flat grind and completed with a 18 degree diamond polished mirror secondary edge, it is literally razor sharp. All blade flats have been hand sanded to a 1000 grit satin finish.
Being Elmax remember to use a diamond sharpening system as grandad's oil stone will be laughed at by Elmax, it is wear resistant which makes it so good for long lasting edges. But as with all steels the secret to edge longevity is regular honing, something Elmax responds to well.
The handle is grey G10 with bright orange G10 liners and complimented with carbon fibre pins. Sheathed in a super secure black with blue stitching 'wet formed' sheath which has a satisfying 'click' when closed shut.
