FX Chronographs old vs. new

I'm looking at buying an FX Chronograph for air rifle use. I'm happy to buy 2nd hand as I'll probably only use it once and then sell it on. My question is, what are people's experiences with the older versions of the chronograph vs. the new V2 chronograph? Will the older style ones still do a perfectly good job?

I would avoid the older version, mine only lasted a month before it failed. I can recommend the Nate chrony.

Hate these chronographs which hang of the barrel .
Why only use it once
Why type do you use?

I have a new scope on the way and need to program in the ballistics of my pellet and rifle for the ballistic calculator, so I want to know the pellet velocity. I don't plan on changing pellets or rifles any time soon so wasn't planning to use it much other than to get some decent figures and program the scope.

At the moment still using the original fx one but every time I use it zero goes on my guns mainly on airguns sub12 & FAC
I will be either buying fx true ballistic one or these

Looks good.

These are great and at a much better price now... good points realtime BC across multiple ranges, the rest. don't do this as far as I'm aware.. also you can download the US firmware with much better radar signal than EU models...good for speeds upto 4000fps , integrates with the FX app on your apple/android.
