We recently had a friend's Labradoodle stay over for the week. Fair enough.

He rubbed along with our Cocker, and they seemed to enjoy each other's company.

The Labradoodle became my wife's shadow - always at her side. Fair enough.

On one of the days, my wife had to go to work. Fair enough.

This is what the dogs (both of the bastards), then did all day...

Admiring your ability to sneak up to the top of the vet bed mountain and catch that photo without them noticing.

Fieldcraft…..pure fieldcraft. Perfect training for your next trip North.

A bit like that in our house - I can be sat there 3 feet from the old dog & he just snoozes, gets up for a drink, snoozes some more & completely ignores me. Bang on 1800 he gets up & assumes the position lying in the hallway staring at the front door waiting for Mrs DB to come home…

Mrs DB feeds him!

I expect she feeds you as well!
It's clear from your post that you too get up from wherever you were sat at 1800 and take up a strategic position in the hallway. Otherwise, how would you know that's what the dog is doing?
🤣

If only! - very early on in our relationship it became obvious that I was going to end up doing the majority of the cooking… now it’s pretty much all the cooking as I tend to be home before her so get supper on.

As for the dog - I can see him from the lounge!

Now where’s my apron?
