Relatively new to deer stalking, I was introduced to it through some great stalking opportunities in Scotland through the Army when i first joined. I've got the application in for my FAC and have been waiting what feels like an age for it to be processed! Seriously regretting not pulling the finger out sooner to get more involved with deer stalking and management when i was younger, but work kept me busy enough. I've gone for a .17HMR to plink away at some steels/pests on the airfield and a 6.5CM for my main rifle. I've been eyeing up a Bergarra B14 or maybe a Sako S20 if I decide to push the budget!
So far, it has been the Red hind season I've been shooting in, but I'm keen to gain as much experience before I go through my DSC 1 in October this year. I'm not far from Tentsmuir Forrest in Fife, and there are plenty of Roe going around, so I'm looking to make some connections nearby and try my hand at the lowland and woodland stalking as well.
