Role of BASC members praised at Liberal Democrats conference

Come November nominations for BASC's council will open, it look like SD can provide several candidates who can advocate for change and work for the future of our sport.

This appears to be a very strange response to a genuine question, the role of BASC is to protect our rights as shooters against political interference. The lib dem leader as openly announced his dislike of private firearms ownership therefore this subject need addressing.

To be absolutely clear my post #2 was a genuine question expressing concern at the apparent anti-lawful gun ownership sentiments expressed by Ed Davey at the LibDem conference, it has nothing whatever to do with any "BASC bashing" !

Unquestionably Ed Davey is making anti-gun statements, what should we do about the LD:

• Ignore them, they are irrelevant
• Engage with them try to correct their misunderstanding
• Behave as Ostriches
• Post on SD

I wouldn’t worry too much about Ed Davey……. He has a few followers but to be honest most of them are his medical health team, ensuring that he doesn’t hurt himself or any on lookers

And here we are…… fair point
