... or is it?

As with the previously listed Rosewood set, the whole thing is stunning, each knife a gem from tip to butt. As said before, this is a family heirloom in the making.

Six knives, 2mm stock SF100 blade steel, 100mm or so blade edge, the most manificent Spalted Beech handle scales.

The timber was sourced from the Chatsworth Estate before being professionally stabilised.

Again, we are looking at a going rate value of around £1500 here.

I will price them the same as that previous Rosewood set, though, so £950 all in and delivered to your door.

As always, particularly with these, as I realise this is quite a hefty sum, I will listen to sensible offers.

Also, that £950 equates to around £160 per knife, so what I will do for £170 per knife (the extra covering me for any extra postage if not delivered in one go), is split them.

But I will only split them if I have buyers for all six knives.

So if you want them all, that is fine, but if you want one, or two or whatever, drop me a line and I will keep a list, if that list gets to six knives then they can go.

Who knew?

"Spalted" refers to wood that has developed distinctive patterns and coloration due to the growth of fungi within the wood, a process known as spalting.
