A good evening I sure this this all been asked before. But here we go, what is the quietest silencer for a 22lr?
It’s to go on an old Bruno mod 2 that I use for squirrels on the pheasant feeders and as a truck gun.
Currently it has old thin Parker hale silencer which doesn’t seem to be all that brilliant.
I’ve got a sak on my .17 hmr, but I’m sure there are better options out there now.

Cheers Rob

Have you cleaned the PH and did it go back together as it should for what is old tech they’re still quiet.

What’s a delay subsonic? I’ve never heard of that term. I have a Parker hale on my .22 and use rws subs and it’s pretty quiet, certainly on a par with the sak I had on a different.22

The old PH MM1 steel moderator is a great mod and almost bomb proof.
When was the last time it was cleaned?

The SAK and A-Tec are good too. Plastic ones can be a bit less forgiving if treated a bit rough - I have a couple in the workshop that have failed after some heavy handedness.

There are many good 22lr mods out there. Just keep on top of maintenance and they'll keep doing their thing.

I have a SAK for a .22lr but thought they were made as rimfire mod to cover all rimfire, worth checking with SAK website. I would still give the PH a good clean.
