So, I'm probably going to regret this, but.............................. I have too many jobs on the go and my garage is groaning with part-finished projects so I've sadly decided, I have to abandon this one!
I bought this mahogany-cased double gun cabinet/ammo safe off here a while back with the intention of refurbishing it and painting it with "Farrow & Ball" type colours to blend in better with our furniture. I took it apart and that's how it has remained for the last 3 years. Bought for £325, I think that was a bargain given the actual safe in there and given it's potential. Be under no illusions, it has a patina of previous heavy use, the inside of the gun cabinets is tatty and I was going to reline and use more of the excellent TEMU cabinet furniture that I now have in all of my other safes so it needs a fair bit of TLC - an ideal over winter project for someone with more room that I have got! Proper wood throughout and easily restored/refinished by someone with some basic woodworking skills.
It's still in kit form as shown in the attached photos and help will be given to loading the safe which is dammed heavy! Collection from BS16 1FY. Two sets of keys if memory serves me right (I confirm shortly).
