This is the knife that I showed in >>this thread<< back in July.

Made to a client's drawing and specifications (almost), for the reason described in the linked thread, the blade is approximately 5mm shorter than desired. Also, the plan was always to fit AZ blue G10 scales; I didn't have any at that time, so we tried the Micarta that you see here.

Due to the blade length and the handle material, I didn't feel that he got the knife he wanted. Therefore, it was agreed that we make an Mk2, which he now has.

He has had Mk2 for a month or more and he has been contemplating keeping both. The truth of the matter is, that he now has exactly the knife he wanted; this was not getting any use at all. So here it is.

My client is a full-time deer manager, employed on a 14,000-acre estate and also a 700-acre deer park. During its couple of months trial period, the Mk1 has gralloched approximately 90 deer, mostly Fallow, but also Roe and Muntjac. It has been used as a larder knife for gralloching only.

His feedback to me was that it has proven to be an excellent design, shape, size, and weight.

It arrived back with me yesterday, and how you see it in the photos is how it arrived. I have not done a thing to it. He has stropped it occasionally, but the knife you see in the photos is a knife that has gralloched approximately 90 deer.

Condition is, I'd say, 95%+ as new. I will strop the edge before it leaves (but it doesn't really need it).

Steel is 3mm stock SF100 @ HRC60/61. Handle scales are blue denim Micarta.

From the front edge of the scales to the tip of the blade, it measures around 130mm.

It has never had a sheath.

My delivered asking price for this unique piece is £250.
