Wildcat evo

Hi forum. I have purchased a 22 wmr with a wildcat evo moderator.

The baffle is purple and the over barrel part of the mod is stamped. 22 magnum

I cant find a .22wmr evolution on wildcats site. Do all .22 evo mods have .22 magnum stamped?

I have a slot for my .22-250 to have a moderator, amd im wondering Is this a CF mod, or for a .22wmr only? From what i can find the rimfire moderators are calls cubs or whispers.

On the wildcat site it says Panther for .22wmr

That’s an older, pre-serial number wildcat I believe? It will work, but allegedly not as well as the Panther

I have done but I realised I messaged them past 5 on a Friday
I was hoping I'd get a response saying all .22 mods have magnum on the side. Unlikely, but a guy can hope.

They don’t now, they may have done in the past

It might be from the days when they did that on mods? Someone might have wanted it to use on two different rifles, one being a centrefire?

The Evo is a centrefire moderator. The purple baffle is 22 calibre and works for all 22C/F calibres, so works for 22WMR just fine. Evo was never marketed or sold by Wildcat as a rimfire moderator to my knowledge.
I would also comment that I do not believe that the marking is OEM - and it's certainly not a proof mark. It may have course been a 'special order' - but opening comments remain valid.
