yep ther the ones and the AI are the same price carnt understand how they can be so mutch!!!!!
they do one for the rear mono pod and ther a joke as well
like i say if any one knows of a cheeper version id be happy to no lol

i think parker hale do them at the fraction of the price of an ai one,you cant be short of a few quid if you can afford an ai anyway

I have a Versa pod with rubber feet and an ai/versa pod spigot which I would part with.

Do sit down before doing so as the drop to the ground is far less sitting than standing ;).

Actually the AI looks like a modified version of the P-H M85 Bi-Pod.

Now I wish that was always true but in my personal experience some "keepers" are the worst at looking after their stuff and skimp on stuff as well. I acquired a P-H rifle from an under keeper of a famous estate and after spending a whole three days cleaning the rifle totally I found the damage the grease and crap was hiding so it went back. God only knows what he had done but some how he had managed to snap the bolt handle off in the middle and once clean of the crud covering it the braze line was clearly obvious. Careful examination revealed the cocking cams to be severely burred up on receiver and bolt root. I can only assume that he had been using some very excessive loads and hammering the bolt open with something.

Oh yes the barrel was so fouled with powder and moly fouling that the rifling was not visible at the muzzle. Once that was scrubbed out whoa and behold the barrel was actually rifled. It shot well too but I could never trust it as god knows what it took to create the abuse i found evidence of.

Just had a look on the Roedale site and they have some spigot type bipod's that might do the job.

Jase.

I believe that is exactly what it is Kevin and the AI AW aluminium chassis, and later on the AICS for Remy rebuilds were made to fit the PH bipod. Mine also has the pod lock. I want to trade it for the Atlas bipod which is an N'th lighter though.

I had heard rumours that there was a lot of dirty dealings going on during the selection of the AI over the M85. The source also said on the tests he witnessed the M85 was out performing the AI. This source has retired now from the service. I only met him through the range and heard some about it whilst buying some stuff off he as he has given up his shooting due to disability. Other in the club also brought stuff I understand.
