EVRI

When they were called Hermes they were just as bad.
Every few years they do a rebrand to ditch the toxic history and emerge like a phoenix from the flames as a glittering new amazing delivery company.

Hermes screwed me over £80 a few years ago......wouldn't knowingly touch 'em with a bargepole.
Trouble is, everyone else uses them......

I’m North of Aberdeen so couriers are hit and miss. I won’t order from anyone that uses Evri. The local driver is fine but it takes forever to get here and that’s if it makes it at all. Once sent a parcel that went missing at a warehouse and they weren’t interested. Royal Mail or DPD is the best up this way.

Our Evri driver is great, conscientious and is partial to (and very grateful for) an occasional venison steak or two home with him.

In another area I know there is a more or less constant babble on the village pump page as to where a parcel may be, guessing about whose front door or porch the shown packet has been left, etc.

Funny old world!

I have a great guy he had so many delivers he started at 5am and was still delivering at 10pm.
I have a couple of others and they are a waste of time .

Our Evri driver is excellent.

As with most home delivery models, the service you get depends to a very large extent on the individuals who service your specific location. In that respect Evri is no different to DPD, Amazon and others.

We didn't receive any evri parcels for about 2 years because the Evri driver didn't like our farm road. I eventually got things to happen by emailing the Evri CEO (martijn.delange@evri.com) and the branch manager (you can guess their address by finding their name on linkedin) directly, which usually results in a response from the 'executive team'. We have a different driver now and are getting normal deliveries which is nice, but large parcels still mysteriously disappear at the depot and get returned to sender.

A lot of their drivers are great but I'd be quite happy if the useless company went out of business.

Hermes was absolutely consistent here

He consistently failed to deliver anything

Instead he came up with excuse after excuse

The reality was very likely that he couldn’t be arsed to drive 150m down our farm track and open one farm gate
