#1399 is a classic pattern and specification MuntjaX, the below is from my website...
The MuntjaX is a pattern of knife that I have been making for a good while now. It is a supremely capable all-arounder of a knife that punches well above its weight. Its 100mm blade, married to a very efficient grip, makes it a very popular model within my range.
As said, they get a 100mm blade, and this example is made from 3mm stock SF100 blade steel, heat-treated to Rc60/62. The blade is finished in a premium and very durable stonewash.
Full flat grinds with secondary bevels taking it to it's razor like edge.
Black canvas Micarta scales secured by a brace of stainless Corby type bolts. Click that link to find out why I use Corby-type bolts.
The sheath is handmade, hand-stitched and of premium grade. South American, veg-tanned, bull hide with a light wax finish. The colour is Dark Walnut.
They really are a stunning and totally fit for purpose design, its lines are so aesthetically pleasing I could sit and admire one for hours.
Here is a link to the MuntjaX page on my website. You'll see there that the starting price for this model knife is £395.
#1288, which is a brand new and prime example knife, is priced at £395.
