I'd literally had it about an hour when I took the pic' and posted it, so not had a chance to take it out yet. They are beautiful guns. I take it it's really accurate too?

I guess thats one way to keep customers coming backYes buddy. The RFD where I took it to P/X it had taken it out to check the bore and left the bugger on their bench !. LOL That RFD also happens to be the one where I bought this 457 from, so no hard feelings. LMAO
Oddly enough, I think I've watched all of Chris' videos on the 457. LOL I ended up with the 16" varmint. I also still have both my Weihrauch HW60j's too. One in .17 hmr and the other in .22lr. They are superb rifles too.Chris Parkin has routinely rated the 457 as the best rimfire rifle on the market, he's got a review on pretty much every version of the 457 in ever calibre. Really good videos and worth a watch.
He found the accuracy in all the stocks and configurations was basically the same.
When I'm in the market for a rimfire next, It will be a 457 standard, like the one you have.
Happy shooting! .17HMR is an EPIC chambering. BUT - check your ammo for split cases, and never ignore a round the feels or sounds 'off' - you get squibs, and putting another pill down the tube after a squib will mean the gun goes in the bin and possibly an extractor claw lodged in the face!!
I went for a CZ457 in 22lr, extremely happy with it.Nice. I’m in the market for .22lr. So much choice I can’t decide!
I think you might just as well buy a CZ452 in 17hmr. Price wise there won't be that much between that and a 457 barrel.Toying with the idea of getting a 17hmr barrel. Just not sure of the difference between want and need for it.
Except swap the spring in the trigger unit and a wee adjustment and you have a better trigger in the 457.I think you might just as well buy a CZ452 in 17hmr. Price wise there won't be that much between that and a 457 barrel.
You certainly won't be disappointed with the 457 in 17hmr. I hope you've now had a chance to get out with it and see how it plants rounds almost one on top of each other. An amazing little calibre and very capable. I'm now looking at adding a 22lr as I've found the need for subsonic ammo on parts on my permissions and I'll be looking at the 457 22lr Varmint 16" in synthetic same as my 17hmr.Well, I've finally gone and done it, and bought a new CZ 457 in .17 HMR. !.
I've pondered and ruminated for ages between the 457, the Bergara BMR and the Tikka T1X.
When I had them all sat in front of me, I thought that there's probably more bits and bobs available for that than the other 2 ?.
So, cash parted with ( I feel ill now ) and rifle now waiting for it to stop blimmin' raining so I can get it set up.
Oh, and I almost came home with a Browning X Bolt Nordic in .308 as well. But luckily enough, I didn't quite have enough cash stashed in my sock for that one. LOL
So I'll be raking through all the ad's fro something a bit cheaper that won't involve selling bodily organs and oxygen !.
Say hello guys.
