Delta Titanium Ballistic Turret Zero Lock

Setting up the ballistic turret on my delta titanium HD 2.5-15x56. The instructions don't explain how to set the zero lock ring. It just says to tighten it, but it doesn't appear to have any feature to stop the turret from turning beyond a certain point. Has anyone set one of these up who can point me in the right direction?

The zero lock ring is not a true zero lock. You cannot set it to stop exactly back to zero. All you can do is set one of the white lines on the adjustable ring to line up with 0 on the turret. When you return back to zero after dialing for elevation the ring will always allow the turret to go past zero. Its a pity that Delta do not address this issue by adding a true zero stop, it would turn a good scope into a great scope.

Thanks for the info. Are you able to send me a photo of your zero lock ring by any chance? I don't have any markings on the ring or the turret. I basically have to point the first ring so it's straight back at me, but even that doesn't line up straight back at me....it's practically useless and I wish I hadn't paid for it.

Thanks for the link. This is the video I used to fit the BT along with the printed instructions. Neither of them explain anything to do with the zero lock ring or how to set it, but it seems it could be because the zero lock ring effectively does nothing other than act as a visual mark to align the first ring to, and it does a pretty poor job of that.

My Bad, The info I posted above was for then Ballistic turret on the Delta Titanium 2-24. I do also have the turret you are referring to, I installed it and removed it pretty much straight away, it is a very crude arrangement at best.

I see, no problem. Yes it's extremely crude isn't it. I might just take it off as well. It makes it too easy for the scope to be beyond your zero point. Thanks for your help

This is the biggest failing on the Titanium line. As explained above you have to line up your zero with the “closest” white mark on the zero stop ring and tighten the “tiny” screw. I love everything else about my 4-24x50 but this is an archaic solution…

You're lucky you have white marks. The BT for the 2.5-15x56 doesn't have any marks, just a slight cut out in the ring which covers an area roughly 5 clicks wide!
