Franz-Albrecht Oettinger converted to HikMicro Habrok religion?

I like his red stag films, only shot at the correct age and stature, same as the roe bucks!

a lot to be leant, I once followed a similar train of thought on red deer, until the stag I left to properly mature was lamped over the boundary by a yank for £5k after that day Ive shot every stag I’ve seen , big or small mercilessly!

His results with seem to prove otherwise.
not questioning the scooter nor the qualify of the weapon or the gun maker, Sir. Just saying that the provided weight by such a building doesn't appeal me. But this come also from the environment where any of us spend his hunting time. Being over 73 and still hunting in public land if I ever would be forced to have one only rifle if would be a kipplauf. Cause in Italy we (still) not need asking permission for buyng other rifles once you have achieved the hunting license and the proper qualification for each species you what to hunt, I can bear kips, bolts and doubles.

I think we would all manage the same way given the acreage that he has and the total control over all areas that are owned by his family - forestry and arable. I'd love to manage like that but either I don't have the amount of land needed to not risk the deer being shot over the boundary or I don't have 100% say on exactly how the deer are managed - I have the land but not the total authority and I have the total authority but not the land.

He is a very lucky young man.

I watched one episode where he was talking about the fallow bucks...leave all the males alone for 8 or 9 years until they are massive...and shoot anything crap along the way. Fantastic if you can do this so fair play to being from a wealthy, landowning family ... just jealous :) 👍

Me too,
I was on the Thurn & Taxis ground north of Regensburg a 650 Ha piece of forest 03 January and this was just one of their sections. The driven hunt day was very well managed by the Taxis forester.
I was fortunate as being one of the local Jagdhorn players we were all invited to hunt but were expected to play before and after the event which is an absolute given and no problem. It cost me only 10€ for the food table which was huge. The nearest I will ever get to the good stuff as a mere hoy p'loy.

If you honestly think that then you’re in a dreamland, you’ve only got a look on the SD/Facebook any of the social media platforms everybody sits behind a big stag, big fallow buck, big roe bucks!

where’s the management in that?

There isn’t it’s all £££££! nothing more nothing less and if you believe any different, you’re delusional

As it should be, i’m very lucky I have shot 4 of the UK 6, all going back into old age!

That’s how it should be

My fallow I estimate 7-10 years
Red stag 10 years plus
Roe bucks 8-10 gone completely back
Muntjac 7-9 years.

All roughly aged by teeth

That’s as good as it gets, and as it should be

All truth, when you’ve watched a male deer grow over the years, it’s nice to keep the trophy, now on only keep 2, the ones that mean the most the roe and fallow

i watched the video last night , he's a lucky guy and clearly a sportsman , i was going to moan about his absolutely lovely 4 barrelled masterpiece not being an ejector only to find out that you can switch the ejection on and off !

You can say that again.. I spoke to a gun that shot on Franz 2nd best day ever on one of his estates... a mix of 370 something deers & boar between the guns 😀

Not sure living somewhere with no hills is considered lucky but it helps confirm the earth is indeed flat

In the context of "management" then great to be in the position that you are in but alas with small pockets of ground, different goals etc etc then this approach is a rarity. I would love a huge swathe of ground where I could manage the deer but I have lots of pockets of ground and a lot of the farmers want the buggers on the deck...so I try and oblige.

Would more then happily change my approach if someone would like to gift me 20,000 acres or so with an abundance of deer that I can let get to a ripe old age 👍

Literally one of the most stupid comments that Iv ever read.

Shot 2 bucks on the last day that I estimated by the teeth at 6-8 years proper old big boys.

Even here the bucks are managed, I know where they are, the territories etc, they can be stalked or left, as I see fit!

It’s not all mass murder
