Recommended entry level Thermal spotter?

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!
In preparation for attending the Stalking Show whats everyones advice, recommendation for a beginner thermal spotter?
My budget will be between 500-1000 quid and am torn between HIK-Micro or Pulsar.
I'd like to see what my options are before bargain 'hunting' at the show! 😆
What other brands are there that compete with the top two?
Many thanks & Wiedmannsheil.

Hello, There will be lots of people at the show looking for a bargain. I am looking to change mine as the Diopter put on max and still blurry, The Nocpix Lumi 13 or 19 , DNT Hound

I had one of the first Pulsar XM30 into the country, it served me well for many years and I replaced it a few months ago with the new Nocpix Lumi P13.
I could not believe the difference. It was like night and day if you will pardon the pun.
This is the entry level of the new Nocpix models, there are two more expensive ones but I find this one is great and all for just over £500 squid.
When I bought the Pulsar it was £1250!!

Hello, That is good to hear, I was looking at the P13 or P 19 , Would not be used that much, Main question, Are the Diopter settings good ?? Did you make a comparison between the 13 and 19 ?? , I also like the 18650 battery rather than internal ?

Just been through this exact thing myself. I was convinced looking online a hikmicro LE10 was going to be good enough for what I wanted. Went into my local sportsman gun centre and got my hands on a LH15, LH19 and a LH35. I was so disappointed with the image of the 15 the 10 wpukd be uselessfor anythingmore than a rat at 10 yards in my mind, the 19 was much better but the 35 just made a world of difference, it was like standarddefinition tv and hd the 19 and 35. I had set myself a bugget of no more than 600 quid, however that was immediately clear it wasn't enough. So was heading for the 19 at 899, but decided the 35 was so much better it was worth the extra and they gave me a cracking deal so left with the 35 and spent way more than I had expected but its worth the extra! Its a night and day difference between 600 quid thermal and a 1000 plus thermal. Been using it a couple weeks now and its a game charger. Just can't believe what iv been missing right infront of me.

Thats been another question in my mind actually, i was looking at the 19's as the perfect start but actually would it be worth going up to 35 on whatever model i choose. It would be variable use maybe 3 or 4 times a year so... lots to think about. Last time i went to Sportsman they did try their best to throw HIKmicros at me and nothing else.

Yea i have heard NOCpix coupd be a good alternative, any reliability issues or was it a good all round package?

I started with the lynx 19 and thought it was great until I looked through a friends Hik condor 35 resulting in me selling the lynx and buying a condor

Mine is a Pixfra Mile M40 B 13 with internal battery but as above find the diopter setting has to be set on max which is plus 3 and not enough so i need find a Thermal around 5 plus, Then i shall sell the Pixfa , The NocPix have a plus 5 diopter
