To my way of thinking BASC along with the other signatory organisations should have held such forums before committing to that dreaded lead free letter five+ years ago.
They all left it a bit late to educate and convert, instead they all (not just BASC) put shooters backs up.

Agreed.
Any attempt at trying to have meaningful discussion about the way in which we have arrived at the current situation is seen as BASC bashing. This is simply a form of ‘gaslighting’ to try and misrepresent what happened and an attempt to cancel the opinions of those who remember and care enough to still want to revert to the way things were before the push towards lead free.
Remember there never was a consultation of UK ammunition manufacturers.
There never was a consultation of BASC members or the wider shooting community.

i mentioned this elsewhere or could have been with a shooting Org's legal advisor.

Shooting is going back to the day that only the Landed Gentry can afford to shoot, less shooters less money, less profit, equals no need for the Orgs.
No loss to me fortunately, i'll be compost by the time its all gone.

That comment is not funny, anyone I knew that has sadly passed away came into contact with lead at some point in their life. Coincidence? I think not!
