Long Leg Stalking Trousers

I’m looking for a pair of stalking trousers, preferably waterproof, that have a 34” inside leg. I didn’t think that this would be a hard item to find but everything I’ve found so far (apart from one pair of Pinewood trousers that didn’t fit me properly) come in a maximum of 33” leg. Any tall, slim (I’m a 34” waist) stalkers out there that can recommend good trousers?

You might be better off with braces perhaps ?

I too am a 34-34 and i mainly use Revolution Race (Hiball in winter & GP Pro in spring/summer) neither of these are waterproof but they now have Trace Silent Pro 2L which is a designated hunting trouser but very expensive.

If you want a more traditional shooting/stalking trouser then have a look at New Forest, Harehill Ridgegate or Fjall Raven Vidda Pro's

I just bought a pair of Deerhunter trousers and am 31inch leg, having them shortened by 3 inches!

Harkila Pro trousers come in 31, 33 and 35” leg lengths. Their Summer-weight Ingels trousers did too but they discontinued these a while back. However in responding to 75’s recent thread also about trousers, on here I discovered that Harkila also do “vintage” offerings so I just bought another pair of them in 34w35L for much less than I bought the originals. They look brand new! Kuiu also do long leg lengths too.

New forest clothing have different leg lengths on all their own brand trousers. Think I’ve got the field pro maybe? I think for the price they are good. As you say nobody does a long leg ffs so new forest we’re pretty much the only option!

33” maximum. It seems that 33” is the longest for almost all brands.

I found that Alpkit does 34” lengths. Will probably try some of their trousers for hiking/ hillwalking and see if they’re suitable for stalking too.

Revolution Race has a maximum 33”. Same with Harehill.

Interesting. They do either a 33” waist with 33” leg or 35” waist with 33.9” leg. Would you say that they err on the long side?

I’m 80kg and 6’1” with a 30/31” waist and so accept wearing trousers that are far too short, and indecently tight on the thighs and arse. I wear braces with all my shooting trousers but that exacerbates the issues really. Anyway, the reason I post is that I much prefer short trousers for going into the top of my boots, without excess fabric low down by the ankle. Yes I look ridiculous travelling in Crocs trousers a good 3” too short, but once booted up they’re perfect.

I have the same waist & leg length & just wear breeks, although even they had to be made extra long to fit. I don't seem to be able to buy anything off the shelf that fits in the UK.
