I was walking the dog down the lane at 5.30 this morning, a white van drove past me, the smell of cannabis hung heavy in the damp air as it passed.

Every time I go to my office which is in Sarf Landon, there will be at least one balaclavad yoof on an electric bike doing wheelies down the road or hassling pedestrians on the pavement, and in the 400m from the station to the office I will typically smell dope 2-3 times coming from passing cars, cyclists or pedestrians.

Maybe it’s just the area around Croydon, but I’ve never noticed such a high degree of lawlessness in the uk, and the police typically ignore it.

Too busy investigating non hate crimes that haven’t happened, I guess!

The easy solution to that last problem is not to ban machetes but to ban sheaths for machetes.

It's sad to see the lawless direction the country is heading.
The scooter gangs are a pet hate of mine. The Brazilian government had a bigger problem with it than we have. Their solution was to allow citizens to defend themselves with lethal force if needed when they got robbed... some of the videos of retribution are something else, but it nipped the problem in the bud quite quickly.
