I was lucky to buy a factory rem 700, shoots great and is my dedicated NV rifle, probably easier to buy a .222/.223 action and put a barrel of your choice on, you'll get a semi custom rifle for about £800 depending who fits the barrel

I got a Sako 75 222 Rem rebarrelled to 17 Rem. 1-9" stainless LW 20". McMillan Varmint and Hausken 17 cal mod. 25 grain Berger varmint bullets.

How fast is it shooting those?

There is a custom build sat in cluny country in Fife. Not sure on the build details, had a look at it yesterday. Older high line Remington action with an archer barrel and what looked to be an older bell and Carlson stock a moderator. A little pile of brass, and powder. I’m sure they said the old owner also had a lot of ammo for the new buyer.
