Selling my beloved A6 as new job requires a full-blooded utility vehicle. This is a genuine honest car which has been sensibly maintained with two services where most people would have one as I would often be doing 13-15k miles in it a year. Purchased by me in December of 2022 at ~120k miles. Now on 169k miles with full service history
2 keys
Tyres always changed an axle at a time
Spare wheel
Work done which I have invoices for:
28/10/2021 New dual wet clutch, new dual mass flywheel, new exhaust seal
06/03/2023 Locking wheel nuts removed
17/06/2023 Lemforder front lower suspension arms (left and right rear) + 2nd set of lower arms left and right
28/02/2024 Transmission solenoid coolant valve replaced, DSG investigated and assured by Audi main dealer
26/03/2024 Transmission service
27/03/2025 Injector stretch bolts replaced
Crankshaft pulley and auxiliary belt have also been replaced but lost invoice for this one
Dates serviced during my ownership:
25/08/2023, 13/11/2023, 26/03/2024, 20/09/2024, 27/03/2025, 26/01/2026
Will be going in for pre-sale service and MOT in the coming weeks.
The ugly bits:
Body work has plenty of stone chips from lots of A-road miles, rear-offside quarter panel has a touch of bubbling which returned after an attempt at resolving it prior.
Bumper has loading/unloading scuffs.
There is an insignificant but persistent oil leak (I cannot find the source of it), however it is consuming/leaking a combined of 0.5L approximately in between services so insignificant in my book.
Rear subframe was corroding as the car is originally from Stirling however I have resolved this by wire-brushing back to bare metal and sealing with a conversion paint (Hammerite Black), but this will appear as an MOT advisory forever more.
Work on the to-do list:
Offside front wheel loses around 1 PSI/week, bead will probably need a refurb
Offside front wheel speed sensor throws a wobbly every couple of months, doesn't affect driving and fault goes away once car has been turned off for a period of time
Glowplugs are due replacement, not expensive and will likely have this done by the mechanic on the impending service if there's a serious buyer from here.
A great long-distance cruiser with plenty of grunt to get around whatever is on the B roads in front of you. Wonderful to be behind the wheel of, test drives welcome for serious individuals.
Looking for £4000
Car no longer in use, advertised elsewhere
