Just like to share my experience with Mark @snake_2586
A few weeks ago whilst rummaging around for a phone lead i came across some money in a drawer, Mrs Pinger informed me it was some Christmas money i’d forgotten about!
So what to spend it on? shooting related i don’t really need anything so racked my brains and thought maybe its time to upgrade my trusty Mora Clipper! I was looking for something just a touch smaller to deal with Muntjac and Roe.
Now let me say each to their own and although i can afford it i’m not the sort to spend north of a monkey on a knife, so i put a wanted ad up for a used custom knife and was offered some nice looking ones but still far to much for a second hand knife.
So i thought i’d message Mark to see what he had available for the budget i’d set, giving him the brief he offered to make one from scratch for me.
After i’d chosen the handle material and he started the knife, every step of the process i received a wataspp with images and descriptions of what he was doing, it soon became apparent that he is passionate about what he does! Once the blank was cut he sent me an image of it, i felt it just needed to be a little narrower and more pointy so used his image and trimmed the profile to what i was looking for. A new image was received shorty after and this was spot on. Next heat treatment and then application of the handle, shaping and finishing. I requested a Kydex sheath for ease of cleaning and that image soon followed.
All in all a truly professional bespoke service and i now own a unique knife that’s exactly to my specifications for what i consider great value for sensible money.
