I use damaged builders ladders (trim them to length) so that part is already made, a school/collage chair is about as comfortable as you can find.

I had gone to bolt the front rail on, re claimed ladders s/hand scaffold poles new box and chair

I have these ones saved

This looks good I have a few ladders kicking about have you any dimensions plans of the seat bit which I can get welded up please

That is a cracking idea for a highseat Tim. Simplicity at its finest. Have you got some photos you could put up?
I will take some as they had to re-plant a lot of drought loss trees so not been over, it is looked after by paul o' so will tie up with him.

TBH I don't think it would be for the off the shelf stalker as I tend to put my "spin" on most stuff I make,
In a nut shell the ladders fit in socket's welded to the basket with a collage chair used as a seat because they don't go brittle like many plastic seat bases I have come across.
This one is a copy of a seat I used on an Estate in 2014 as I took a tape and sharpie and measured it up while waiting to be picked up lol

And these
That first picture is a possible death trap.
You must have at least an 11 degrees of slant from top to bottom (like with a normal ladder) to that ladder as I was taught on my Jagdschein course which has stuck in my brain well otherwise you will overbalance and risk a fall with a rifle mat & rucksack wrapped around you when climbing it.

Yep, absolutely. Not my pics just ones I've kept hold of with regards to high seat design. Personally all mine are galvanised doubles at the moment
