257 caliber

Never understood why the .25 cal rifles were never popular in the UK.
The standard ones are ideal for everything in the UK.
Lack of marketing and existing saturated market with .243, .308, 30-06, 270.

Quarter bores never really caught on anywhere to a great extent, even the US, although a fair amount sold there

Own a 25-06, it’s a laser, but I don’t really care for it ‘that much’. Had a 257 Roberts and it was great with 120g partitions - sold it because I had a good offer, I’d have another if we were still shooting lead

We are still shooting lead!

All these oh-so late to the party Quarter Bore converts make my sides ache! If you're gonna get with the program here's a tip:

Oh im not late to the quarterbore party…. Was shooting the 25 cal long before the latest fast twist heavies came out, 25/06, 257 Robert’s and 257 AI long before that. Shot a 25 SAUM barrel out with 131 blackjacks when they was still around. Barrel did not like going 3300 fps. It was torched after about 750rds. Made it to a mile quit a few times. Think I put 6 in a row on target at a mile. Decided to quit after that.. figured why screw up a good thing 😂

But I am interested in your .250 howeverusaythat
