I'm 34 years old and recently got into shooting. I did a bit of Clay pigeon shooting a while back with friends and have recently done a 6 part course at Orston which was good fun.
I also joined a local rifle club and have so far logged 7 times with their .22LR and shot around 700 rounds.
Now that i've passed probation there, I'll be getting some experience with the clubs .308 and after maybe 5-6 times and shooting 25-50 rounds each time aim to apply for my FAC for shotgun and rifle.
I'm going to apply for a .308 and would like to buy a Sako S20 Hunter (although still deciding between black or the Emerald Cerakote (not sure if I'll get bored of Emerald, or it will seem too gimmicky in 10-20 years time)
Looking at doing my DSC1 in Autumn (next time one is near me!) but hoping to get approved to buy a .308 and be able to use that for target shooting at least at my club, then applying for open ticket after DSC1 is approved.
I'm based South Lincs between Grantham, Lincoln, Newark and Sleaford.
I've also got a 7 year old German Shorthaired pointer who isnt trained to be working, but is great at finding things for me!
