Now I class myself as a steady driver, driven all over Europe and the UK in the bat van, clean licence and Much to the wife’s dismay apparently I drive like my dad 🙈😂😂😂

Now I don’t scare easily, but yesterday afternoon was a proper 💩 trouser moment, when going to pick my daughter up from school and had a very close call with a white van with lots of rust🙈 who in his evident wisdom decided to stop sharply and then indicate to turn right, luckily for me I managed to stop by a fag paper!

A few necessary words and hand signals out of the window (those who know me, I’m very fluent in the late queens best English!) later and I carry on my way.

Amazon is your friend, new dash cam en route and it’s it’s the same driver he’ll get another dose!

Rant over 😂

And why are 17 year old tractor drivers always on the phone! Not only handling enormous machines with heavy loads that could crush any car and passengers, but with almost no driving experience!

They seem to get a pass and literally spend half their day on the phone in the cab, and aren’t afraid to hide it either!

At 30 mph you travel at 45 feet a second, seeing brake lights it takes the average driver 0.7 seconds to hit the brake peddle, before you start to slow, only a fool brakes the 2 second rule is the old adage , and it takes 2 seconds to say it, I still use it to check my following distance however we all get caught out sometimes.
At 70 it's 103 feet a second.
