Option to edit posts?

Have I missed something, or can you only edit your posts in certain sections on the forum?
I've only recently noticed that some of my posts have the option to edit when you click the 3 dots, and some don't have any dots to click on?

There's only a limited timeframe in which you can edit a post I believe, unless it's your own advert in the classified section.

(Edited to add: used to be a much longer timeframe (or maybe even indefinite?), but it got a bit silly with people going back and editing posts long after the discussion had moved on, particularly if anyone had disagreed with them, hence why you now have to be quick. Like this).

I see an option to edit my post above, but on some of my other posts it only gives the option to report

Just been looking through my comments on other people's threads, and some from a couple of days ago do not allow editing, but some from nearly a fortnight ago still do?

Let me look at this in more detail. If you can send across (PM if you would rather) a couple of examples of posts you can edit beyond 30 mins, that would be great.

Looking more closely through my comments, it seems the only posts I can still edit are comments in the classifieds.
