Hi stalking community,
I am from lower saxony Germany near Hannover and do hunting, realoding, fishing and spearfishing as a hobby for my entire life.
Main species i hunt in my area are boar, roe, vermints, and every now and then reddeer and fallow.
For my stalking i use multiple rifels an calibers from different brands such as sako tikka heym sauer steyr and a few customs.
I am happy to join your community.

Hello, Have you hunted red deer in Scotland before? Last September I met a German family queuing at the ferry port that were over hunting Red Deer on Islay. They had also filled their suitcases with whiskey.
 
Hello Br J, I have friends in Hannover and Soltau. Wilhelm Ohlau from Fallingbostel was my Firearms dealer, he sold me an over and under Saur Bockbus flint in 12'7x57r and a few others like .22lfb and a couple of pistols.
I left Soltau in 1982 but have visited my friends in Soltau a few times since.

Hi nick, yes i ve hunted in different areas in scotland also on islay where a friend of mine is living . But the past 2 decades i ve been only at the mainland . I am using the ferry as well it is a lot more comfortable . Where do you hunt?

hello,
I used to live near there when there with the British Army.
I was based in Hameln and fished the Weser and occasionally shot near to Salzhemmendorf with a forstmeister there.
Left in 92, but occasionally still visit a motorbike club there (MC Spyder).
am near Bielefeld in 10 days then Hamburg and Titz on my motorbike visiting friends.

Hi and welcome. I moved from the UK to Austria several years ago but as the huinting is so expensive here and my hunting qualification is UK based I stalk in the UK when I return there to work each year. I'm now looking to so some hunting in Slovinia too.
 
Hi scarpa yes i saw the same , the prices for chamoise are rising a lot in austria i shot my last one in 2024 . Slovenia seem to be a bit better atm a friend of mine is going there in late october i am looking forward to the stories he will bring home . Br
