New Pixfra Draco Multi-Spectral 4K LRF Binoculars

About to buy the draco D635 or habrok 4k 35. Read the whole post and interested in any updates for those on the D635 pls. I am really keen on the optical channel for deer ID and filming for land owners.
Love my 635's. much more compact that the equivalent Habroks. Here's a wee video demonstrating picture quality zoomed it (but not all the way) Electronic Image stabalisation can on help so much when using them freehand!!

Any news of later firmware update, specifically for the LRF duration for around 5 seconds?
It's been passed over this info..
Would also love to be able to toggle between Opical and Thermal without having to go through NV mode

Pixfra have released a firmware update that improves the image of a lot of products recently. It should be coming to the Draco also soon at some point.

Thank you. Fingers crossed!

Does everyone’s units get quite hot to touch during use? Great for winter for free hand warmers but annoying in this weather!

I’ve got a pair and a really rate the Draco’s.
Very natural image - it doesn’t feel as enhanced as the Haroks in terms of image processing. Very light as well. I followed some of the setups in this thread and am very happy with them.

Love my Draco, and love the fact that I can now go back to being able to use a harness. Even if you can squeeze the Habrok into an XL KUIU, you couldn't get them in/out without knocking one of the buttons or wheels.

I would say the battery life doesn't seem as good. On the Habrok, the equipped and the spare batteries would get me through a day no bother.

I'm conscious of if with the Draco. I'm actually on the hunt for another spare set but they're flat top protected, which doesn't seem to exist on the internet

I naïvely thought my large collection of unprotected flat top batteries from my pards would work fine, despite being slightly shorter.

I can confirm they do not. So we do indeed need to source of flat top protected batteries…. Also haven’t found any….

are you sure the supplied Pixfra batteries are protected? - I can see any marking to confirm that on mine. I bought a couple of unprotected flat tops for emergency use.

I'm convinced the last firmware update adversely effected battery life - when I first got my Draco's I never had to change my batteries mid stalking session but I do now.

Ian @Blackwood Outdoors , perhaps this is something else to feed back to Pixfra.

The length of them would suggest that they are.

Have you actually tried your flat top unprotected in them yet to see if they work?

I was purely going by length when I said they were protected. They are clearly longer than all of my unprotected 18650 torch batteries. I haven't tried and unprotected battery in there because I didn't fancy putting an unprotected cell in a nearly 2k piece of equipment 🤣

Any source of protected flat tops would be greatly appreciated because I just can't find them anywhere. I'm pretty sure protected button tops would probably be fine and they are much easier to find
