BASC and NI licensing increase

other efficiency saving are also possible like moving to bands of calibre and no need for a variation to sell and buy a replacement, like i think it is in NI.

Then the soon to be removal of sound moderators.
The banded system in theory should work. One off, one on, but it had its wings clipped in that it has been limited to 7 deer calibres. (243, 2506, 308, 7-08, 6.5x55, 270, 3006). Anything outside those needs a variation. This consultation suggested adding 6.5CM, 260Rem and 7x57.

Fox calibres are limited to .17 Hornet, Rem & Fireball
.22 Hornet / 5.6 x 36Rmm
.222
.204 Ruger
.223 Remington/5.56 x 45mm
.220 Swift
.22-250

Rimfire for rimfire is okay. Any gauge shotgun for shotgun works.

I am not sure how me choosing to do something should be funded by my next door neighbour?
If only this view were rolled out fairly in life, it would be great... I don't see why I should be paying the dinghy dwellers board & lodgings when it's their choice to arrive here illegally...
Fair is never applied universally in this fair Isle.
If they want full cost recovery, it should be applied to everything, starting with the NHS, but that would be a vote loser... Firearms licensing is a low-hanging fruit for them to pick... we never fight our corner very well.

I am not sure how me choosing to do something should be funded by my next door neighbour? My view - others are available.

If your next door neighbour smokes you will like fund their NHS eventually treatment, so guess you are happy to do so.

You also cannot do a one for one for a range only rifle - like why not?

Sure am Funding a national service. You habe to take the rough with the smooth for access to universal health care. I can see the comparison you are trying to draw but funding a minority to access firearms is not the same as ensuring everyone can have a chance at free at point of delivery healthcare. As said, other views are available.

I’ll be honest I see no reason why we can’t have bands of calibres and personally I don’t really get having restrictions on the amount of ammo you can hold , wether you have 200 or 1000 rounds what’s the difference
