A little shout out for Spud.
I vaguely remember many months ago, trying to source the same bullet for reloads, that SAKO load into their .222 Rem 50 grain Gamehead ammunition, These were seemingly Unobtainium.
Just a couple days ago a phone call letting me know a pack of a hundred were located, now sitting on my reloading shelves.:thumb::fox:

His website is clunky , I find it good to speak to him on the phone

Normally gets you sorted
Yes, I've bought off Spud in the past, unfortunately my last order was delivered to the local water works by the idiot delivery service and Spud was somewhat less than helpful in getting it sorted.

Spud, has always come good for me, to the extent of a Saturday morning I’m looking for Berger bullets, Spud shows no stock, but expected soon.

I drop him an email. Before breakfast has finished, he’s called me and said he’d sourced 1K and there mine if I won’t them
Never had any issues with him or Wildcat to be honest.

5-months for a Hornady die set and waiting!
5-months for a Lee crimp die and waiting!
6-months for a GRS stock and waiting!

Yes, Spud is in no smaĺl part at the mercy of manufacturers/importers but I do feel they could be a little more assertive in their comms and better at keeping the customer updated.

the GRS thing is out of his control the importer only places an order once a year.

I like spud and everyone Ive ever spoke to there has been nothing but helpful.

What wasn't helpful was a call at 6.45am to take a card payment and then forgetting to send the order for a week🤷‍♂️

Having dealt with consumers for 2/3 of my life, the problem I found was the lack of communication regarding waiting times. Showing in stock and having received payment I don't agree that 3 months is acceptable to wait for delivery.
If the item/s are to be ordered due to nill stock fine I accept you cannot keep stock of every conceivable item. But keep your customers Informed, we aren't mushrooms.
If things have improved since my last order then fine but unfortunately I now spend elsewhere.

credit where it’s due spud did used to be shocking. the other outfit are (still) much worse

Once they have your money
I wouldn't say that, on previous occasions they'd been great to deal with, its just that time I didn't have direct access to the delivery service to advise them of the correct delivery location and to say the least Spud had a relaxed attitude to the matter and appeared to take offence when I raised it with him.
