I am bidding on a .44/.357 die, I went into Wiki to read about it & clicked on one of the links and all hell broke loose, first time for me. This is from my phone.

I’m lead to believe apple have a certain level of security, hence I’ve never dared to leave them. That and the Samsung work phones didn’t feel as instinctive.

Shjysters! They’ve started coming up with links to their phishing and malware sites by using AI to interpret your search terms, come up with a basic summary result in the search results, but look at the website that it’s coming from, and it’s often super dodgy. Trust no one! Click on nothing you do t trust

Have you tried downloading antivirus software to a USB? You can get freeware that can scan and run from a USB. I was away once and had to talk my wife through the process when she got a virus on her laptop. She isn't very computer literate and it was before the days of video phone. It wasn't fun, left mouse click, right mouse click..... I was tearing my hair out

Try right clicking the browser (Chrome or Edge...) tab on the bottom bar and select close window. Do not click on any links on the page. These things are often a phishing scam for you to buy a solution and don't do any damage. If it's not that you need your it dept.

The IT mans wife only charged me 10€ so it must not have been a big thing, he was not there to ask about it when I collected it this evening.
