KRG Echo

Anyone using the KRG Echo, I would be interested in hearing some reviews.

I haven't even laid first hand eyes on it but I did own a KRG Bravo for a few years - and this looks very similar. The Bravo was excellent for range work and shot lights out in my Tikka CTR but good golly was it soulless (Dollarstore plastic vibes) and an absolute donkey to carry around when stalking. It also did not fit my hands well since I have short but fat (despite not being very fat) fingers. If this Echo is much, much lighter I could consider it in the future. For me, a good (excellent, even) alternative for both shooting and hunting is the KKC laminate stock.

Ive had multiple Bravos and found them grand, was wondering about an Echo for a stalking rifle. I currently use the KKC in my CTR and can't fault it.

Out of interest, do the KKC require further bedding? Or are they plug and play? Have also been looking at the Echo, but struggling to find any on the shelves in the UK

I have an echo. I'm yet to actually use it but its similar to the bravo in design. Weighs cock all, has a 'bolt in' bedding block and appears to be relatively stiff.

It WILL be used before long

To be fair, for a relatively cheap chassis, it isn't bad. You can tell it's on the cheaper end because its plastic everywhere other than the bedding block but adjustable cheek piece, you can get plates to change LOP, used standard tikka mags and is subsequently fine for long action cartridges.

Just want to shed weight now, lugging a 24 inch barrel about in a MDT XRS is getting boring

Definitely lighter than the XRS. It's probably on par with my B+C with the full alloy block.

I'll go as far to say considerably lighter than the xrs actually.

Or, keep the XRS and get a vorn

March are the importers and they don't tend to stock them. They do take a while to come over mind...
