I remain unhappy at this being dealt with by Courts Martial.
Ok if an offence takes place within the confines of a secure forces base but Nightingale was living off base.
The property was, as far as I understand, a normal house with normal security,
The firearm was unsecured, ammunition was unsecured and in the same room, there were times the property was un occupied.
So, to my simple mind it is a civillian offence and should therefore be tried under civillian law.
I agree, but what do we know? ... we're obviously old school, where there were rules to be adhered to and penalties for failure.
It's a "win some... lose some" "trial-by-media" "extravaganza" of a world we live in now.
