well rickie asked and we got lol not bad for northern monkeys, but yes if I,d spent 3 full days stood I,d might not have been so calm. but really hope they sort it for the hard earned money people spend and for there reputation, I do agree with most stuff said but just putting another view across. hunt and seek got it wrong in my eyes and I,d rather them sort it for future trips than crash and burn, even if we got our fingers burnt.

You and richie were lucky getting to go out with the dogmen, from where the rest of us had to stand for three days we got to see nothing and that is all we have to go on. I didn't even hear a barking dog from where I was although I did see one once when it wandered out of the drive and went to see fran.

Theres no checking out of the thread mate till the truth outs..

A good few people on here have gone on a trip expecting it to be as advertised... Had we known the full picture from previous trips and what a complete abortion it was and how the tag system works etc and what our chances were I personally would not have gone.

Christian, given the astonishing amount of criticism forthcoming about his business practices seems to not think it warrants his full attention or just cant be arsed to respond... I can only assume this is because no response is the best option after the appalling service we received.

This really is unpleasant, all the more reason to make sure this type of thing doesnt happen can we get our heads together and start coming up with some ideas so events like these are not repeated.

Just my opinion. I feel that going out with someone is down to who books it.
I do feel the personal attacks on each other takes away from what is a good thread.

It's not right that poachers and liars can take over a 2013 thread by posting blatant lies about a 2012 trip to confuse the issue and attack me tag team style to discredit me. All because the facts are important to me. Thats what social networking is all about!

I dont know about a rogue traders list maybe a review based on points, however under no circumstances should we cover up and pretend bad things dont happen just because it doesnt look good.

I have recently returned from a Hunt n’ Seek Moose hunt in Salla.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. When my wife decided to treat me to this hunt for my 40[SUP]th[/SUP] birthday I was delighted as I Know Paul and he gave me assistance in telling me what I need to transport my firearms over to Finland which went relatively smoothly.

When we arrived at the airport we had to wait over 2hrs for you to show up, which I believe was due to a delay in your flight and not your fault. Although not impressed I know what it is like to be under the mercy of the airlines.

After the 10 hour drive from Helsinki to Salla I was greeted with the accommodation, perfectly adequate for six individuals not the nine we had staying there. Four of us were cooped up in the roof space lying on a two inch mattress which was hardly comfortable. One chap opted for the sofa as he didn’t wish to risk getting up the ladder to the loft. I was told that the hunt was for 12 individuals not the 18 we had on our trip? There was no toilet roll for two days all of which was highlighted to you on the first evening. This is totally unacceptable.

On the next morning you gave us a safety brief and few people asked about the possibility of shooting bears and deer, I previously asked you about this on the way up and was told that deer are not up North which I was somewhat confused as I had received an e mail from Paul stating that:

“There's an option to try for whitetail deer in the evening and predators are free with a chance of stuff like Raccoon dog! Last year a bear was shot but that's rare and an extra understandably but there are wolves and lynx in the area. The extras though like bear, wolf and lynx can be shot if the hunter is happy to pay the trophy fee and we have tags to shoot them on the hunt. We should also have the chance for an outing on the Friday night and Tuesday morning as well as the three days moosing.”

The first days break for lunch was a shock as we were given a can of cold beer to drink and some sausages in a bag to cook on an open fire. In the evening we complained. Day two we were given a bag of crisps between six of us and an apple. We complained and requested a hot drink. Day three we were given a plastic cup and some sachets of instant soup. This showed me you have a complete lack of respect for your clients and any individual who challenges you. You are trying to run a business which provides a service and generates an income for you. The 18 guys on the trip paid in excess of 18 thousand pounds for this so called service. If it was just me who complained I would have thought it was just me expecting too much, but every individual on that trip was un happy with the quality and level of service your company provided.

Your set up was totally inadequate for the eighteen individuals that had to be accommodated in the chalets and to be charged an extra 160 euros for food and radio hire was an absolute disgrace for the quality of food we received at lunch time. I have worked and travelled all over the world and not once have I received such a poor service from a business. The final thing which infuriated me more than anything else was the luxury of having to drive ourselves back to the airport as you could not be bothered to get up!!!!

This trip was totally mis sold to me on the basis of the e mail I received (on page 2) & the level of service you supplied. I am demanding a refund of £580. I do not want to discuss another trip with your company and if I do not receive a satisfactory answer in the next five working days I will take this matter further.

had discussed with Paul a trip to moose club ground in southern finland

trip was advertised on the stalking directory. Paul could bring some
friends at a lower price than advertised. He paid the same price as
advertised by taking my guests stalking in Scotland this year and before
this year.

The trip I offered is the trip on the stalking directory, if Paul
offered you a different trip you must speak to him. We have writing on
the stalking directory my reply to the complaints today. This will
explain what we can do about the hunt you were at.

Paul, I have read your Pm and look forward to Christian putting things right for myself and the other individuals on the 2013 trip.

My only advice would be to remember if you lie down with dogs you get fleas, I would distance yourself from this Hunt n' Seek outfitter as I expect his reputation is somewhat tainted after the experience people have experienced over the last few years.

Going by the limited replies from Hunt and Seek I think it's fair to assume that he is indeed an incompetent idiot with total lack of respect for his clients. I'm basing this on the accomodation and catering arrangements alone, let alone the quality of the hunting offered.

Does anyone know if this dodgy outfit frequents any other forums? I know boards like Africa Hunting and Accurate Reloading are happy to publish details of those who don't deliver good service or worse. Perhaps, those on the receiving end of such abysmal service should make a concerted effort to warn others, particularly those of us who want to hunt in Scandanavia and have been genuinely interested in trips like this. Only by providing honest, genuine and constructive feedback across the internet will we rid our hobby of this kind of outfit.

Paul - You really do need to distance yourself from this chump, Christian. Your reputation really could be severly tarnished if you were to continue to associate with him in any way. I sincerely hope that you understand that that is intended to be friendly and helpful advise.

Dear hunters.

There have been many things said and discussed. You need to understand that is takes a long time to read and understand what has been written and to write back to you. This is not easy to do! We do not feel that many of the comments are fair because it is clear that many hunters do not understand moose hunting with dogs and we cannot agree to many complaints. The hunting has been done the same way as any moosehunt would have been done in Finland.

We can though agree that you are not happy with the food and the cabins with space and beds which could have been better. We could have made this better but more expensive in the price. You must understand that we did not make any money in this hunt because moose hunting is very expensive to organise and only next trip we get something back.

We want to make this right but it is very difficult for us. The very best we can refund to hunters is 150 euro or hunters can have a 1/3 of any hunt you come on with us. Hunters must chose either some refund or 1/3 off any hunting trip with us. Hunters cannot have both. We are sorry again your expectations and our expectation were not met. We hope this will help make things right.

Ive been keeping an eye on this thread and interesting its certainley been. I believe this quote Ive used from MJ is spot on. But I fear there has been damage done. Reading lambseys post it looks as if the Outfitter is going to drop the whole lot on paul. I hope an amicable soloution is found for Paul and the lads who went.

Agreed gents and thanks, I've had emails and calls reflecting this too. Before this trip I had already booked more hunting with Christian before we went to Finland. This is with my best mate and I have to trust that while Lapland was as you have read above, Sweden will deliver. If it doesn't then I've burned my best mate and all the guys that were in my team in Lapland in one month..

I've no issues with sorting out the guys that went on my trip, while I might not be able to offer cash I will certainly do something to make things right on an individual basis. The guys that know me will trust that.
