Available: Free Deer Shooting

Due to disability, ill health and age I am finding it very difficult to wander round shooting deer.

I have been asked to protect some ground that Roe have taken a likening to. I would like to take someone out to do the shooting for me.
No costs involved at all apart from there own costs getting to me.

Any suggestions please how I can go about getting help from someone, who hasn't shot deer but has experience with guns. No need to be a CF owner as I've got a few spare.

Don't want to be inundated with experienced deer shooters who want to make money, or just want to kill deer.

agree a new lad just ripe for you to pass on your skills , that would be just about right as its very hard to obtain stalking when your first starting out and what a fantastic offer from you for someone down your way .

Great offer Yoda and hopefully you will find a suitable stalker. I know how you feel, disability and failing health have forced me to give up my grounds this year. In fact I am going to sell all my kit from Quad to reloading gear, its taking a while to get used to the idea but you have to be realistic. Anyone got a been there done that tee shirt .

good on you yoda ,not quite got the tee shirt jb but had to modify my sport drastically over the last 18 months due to the same sort of things ! can you still get out at all ? is it possible to alter the way you shoot ? i now do more foxing from a vehicle than stalking ,shooting across the bonnet or off a quad,i am fortunate that i have access to some easy ground stalking that i can bumble around on with good rides and just do short stalks ,its something you dont think of whilst your able bodied ! make the most of life your never quite sure whats around the corner

Totally agree with making changes. I'm still getting out and about but nothing like 10 years ago. Not used the old series Land Rover for a few years because it's so uncomfortable and my belly won't fit behind the wheel!
Time for a Disco me thinks.

Hi Yoda,
I had a similar problem so I set up DAGS. We are a informal bunch with 5 trainees and a number of experienced stalkers. We have a great craic and are always looking for more opportunities to bring more youngsters into the sport.
