    Be careful with sloe stones. Don’t crack them , as with most fruit pips and stones , -plums, cherries , applies, pears etc, they contain a cyanide compound.

    There are still a number of guns who launch from Glencaple in Dumfriesshire. I have seen 3 out at once in the last few years. Worth stay there and talking to the locals. Good forshore goosing on Caelaverock marshes available by permit.
